STEM Mentoring is an ongoing mentorship program for girls, young women and non-binary youth ages 9 to 13.

Stem Mentoring PlanetsRooted in the belief that girls cannot be what they cannot see, STEM Mentoring is about more than just building girls' interest in skills in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) - it's about building strong, healthy relationships with other girls and mentors (who just so happen to be amazing women working in our community in the STEM field)!

The program is flexible and customizable, and participants themselves decide with their mentors what kinds of activities, outings and experiments they'd like to do. With no fixed agenda or curriculum, girls and their mentors have been able to explore things like robotics, aerodynamics, dry ice and ecosystems; together, they've gone on trips to the Butterfly Conservatory, rare Charitable Research Reserve and the Humber College Arboretum.

Please see current program offerings for program schedule and locations. Contact us to register.

STEM Mentoring is funded by the Canadian Women's Foundation. For a full list of our amazing supporters, visit our sponsors and funders page. Find out more about the benefits to supporting us with a donation!

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to girls by becoming a STEM Mentor? If so, you can find out more information by contacting us! All Mentors must be self-identifying women, with a career or education in (or currently in school for), Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.
