STEPS (Sisters in Truth, Equality, Power & Strength) is a 12-week program for girls, young women and non-binary youth ages 8 to 18.

YWCA Steps girlsSTEPS is rooted in the perspective that girls and young women have valuable and unique knowledge to offer as a result of their lived experiences. STEPS is about creating a safe space for girls, developing skills for healthy relationships, reducing isolation and increasing inclusion, engaging girls in critical thinking and strengthening leadership skills.

This program covers topics like healthy relationships and friendships (and unhealthy ones!), healthy and assertive communication skills, self-esteem and self-confidence, and stress management techniques. Past activities include positive body image art, stress balls, communication role-play, and affirmation boards.

Please see our current program offerings for program schedule and locations. Contact us to register.
