YWCA Cambridge is looking for a focused, self-starter that will support the following areas: finance, budgeting, payroll and administration. The Director of Finance and Administration will play an integral role on the Senior Leadership Team in strategic decision-making and operations to strengthen the capacity of YWCA Cambridge. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all accounting items including accounts payable, general ledger updates, bank reconciliations, payroll and financial reports using a variety of sites and software packages.
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with the external auditor, the board Treasurer and the CEO.
- Recommend policies and procedures to improve processes and streamline systems.
- Prepare monthly financial statements for distribution to the Board of Directors and the Senior Leadership Team.
- Complete the bi-weekly payroll for employees using the ADP platform.
- Track benefits eligibility and follow up with employees regarding information about the benefits plan.
- Liaise with ADP for any system updates required to support payroll processes and changes.
- Provide administrative support to the Board of Directors, the CEO and the Senior Leadership Team.
- As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, support agency special events and initiatives.
- Attend monthly board meetings and any special meetings to record and prepare minutes in accordance with the agency Bylaws.
- Coordinate the preparation of monthly board packages and their distribution.
- Monitor existing services agreements for service and/or renewal dates.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency with the ADP payroll system.
- Experience with the Adagio accounting software an asset.
- Proficiency with Excel.
- Attention to detail is essential to this role.
- Discretion, integrity and maintaining confidentiality is crucial to this role.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Experience working in a charitable not for profit organization an asset.
- Ability to work from an intersectional feminist, anti-oppressive framework.
- A university degree or college diploma in a related field and/or related work/volunteer experience.
This position will be located at YWCA Cambridge head office in Cambridge and will not be a remote position. This is a 37.5 hour per week position with a salary range of $78,000 to $83,000 per year.
