About W Camp
Programs

Summer Camp at The W is a beautiful extension of our programming for cis and trans girls, non-binary and two-spirit youth. Together with staff and volunteers, campers create a safe and inclusive space to play, learn and share with one another.

All camps run from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Excluding statutory holidays.
All camps are $120 per camper and include lunch and snacks.

2021 Summer Camp Lineup

Camp looks a little different this year. Because we all have different needs and comfort levels, we wanted to provide you with several different ways to experience camp this year.
Same great programming but more flexible to suit your family!

Virtual Version: 12:00-1:30pm each day. Hop on Zoom with our facilitators to take you through the instructions to a new activity each day, as well as some fun get-to-know you games and chat! Activities include vision boards, DIY body scrub, essential oil roller-ball making, fairy jar making and cake decorating! This option is great for those who cannot meet-up in person for any reason.

In-Person Version: 2:00-3:30pm each day. Meet us at The W (20 Dickson Street, Unit 101) to head out to parks, trails, playgrounds and a couple of special outings for games, chats and time spent together. Participants will be sent home with a kit of supplies and instructions at the end of each day to do the activities on their own – all kit activities will be the same as the activities included in our virtual version. This option is great for those who feel comfortable to take part in some social meetups and get out of the house!

Kit Only Version: No daily meet-up. Can’t commit to hoping on Zoom or joining us in person, but still want to join in the fun? Sign up to receive a kit with the activities we will be doing for the week so you can do them on your own time!
To register: complete the registration form below. You will receive an email confirming your spot  once registration is complete.

Registration for all versions of this program are FREE thanks to the generous support of the Cambridge & North Dumfries Community Foundation and the Lyle S. Hallman Foundaton.

August 10 & 11 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
This mini-camp is open to cis and trans girls, non-binary and two-spirit youth ages 8-12.

Are you interested in reconnecting with us, but are unable to attend an in-person group all week, during the day? We’ve got you covered! Our art camp activities this past week were a hit, so we decided to offer a mini, in-person version. We have two special (socially distanced) outings planned, as well as a take home kit of supplies for a couple of activities that participants can do at home. We will meet at The W and head out to spend some socially distanced time together at a couple of Galt’s most fun spots! To register complete the registration form below. You will receive an email confirming your spot once registration is complete.

Registration for this program is FREE thanks to the generous support of the Cambridge & North Dumfries Community Foundation and the Lyle S. Hallman Foundation.
