Learn more from the civic leaders in Cambridge and the broader Region of Waterloo pushing for change around Women’s Homelessness. YWCA Cambridge, as many know, is working on the development of a women’s shelter in Cambridge for women experiencing homelessness. We’ve been lucky to have ongoing strategy support and the mentorship of these local civic leaders. But trying to push for change, even as a high level decision maker, can be hard when desired outcomes clash with jurisdictional oversight and responsibilities, political will constantly changes, and community buy-in is difficult to achieve. Join us for this panel event, and learn from the best about where the roadblocks lie, where the levers for change hide and where community members have their own opportunities to effect change.
