Our Events
YWCA Cambridge Events The Power of Community
At YWCA Cambridge, we believe in bringing people together. Our events are vibrant, welcoming spaces where connection, conversation and community come to life. Whether you’re walking to raise your voice, celebrating local changemakers or hearing bold stories that challenge the status quo, our events inspire belonging and spark action.
Fundraising is also critical to ensuring the ongoing operations of our programs and services. We receive no core funding for much of the programming work we do, relying largely on fundraising events, generous donors and grants to fuel our mission. Join us or lend your support to one of our signature events to directly support women, gender-diverse people, and families across Cambridge and North Dumfries.
You can be part of it all: share our events with your network, attend with friends and colleagues or step in as a sponsor to make an even bigger impact.
Connect with us to create a sponsorship package that works for you. Email Britteny Blackman at b.blackman@ywcacambridge.ca to chat.

Walk a Mile in Their Shoes
Walk A Mile is our annual call to action to end gender-based violence. Join us in downtown Cambridge for a symbolic one-mile walk and peer-to-peer fundraiser that brings people together in solidarity and support for our shelter and prevention programs.
Together, we make a stand and raise critical funds for violence prevention programs and recovery services.

This community event features a rally and march, interactive activities, local community booths and a vibrant mini Feminist Night Market. Together, we shine a light on resilience, resistance and the collective demand for change.
