YWCA Cambridge and the newly-launched Soroptimist Trust have partnered to host High Tea and High Fashion with style icon Lynn Spence on November 6 in the Toyota Room at the Cambridge Centre for the Arts.
“As we slowly inch back to normalcy, it feels good to host an event that’s all about fun and enjoyment,” said YWCA Cambridge CEO, Kim Decker.
“The last few years have been tough on all of us. We wanted to create an afternoon that provides the opportunity for our shoppers who have stood by us throughout the pandemic to enjoy an afternoon of fashion and style advice. We’re thrilled to partner with our friends at Soroptimist Trust and Lynn Spence to inspire us.”
Details of the afternoon with Lynn Spence
Tickets are $65, $30 of which is eligible for a charitable donation receipt, and must be purchased in advance of the event. The afternoon, running from 1:00p.m. – 3:00p.m. will feature an elevated high tea experience followed by an interactive fashion presentation by Lynn Spence who will showcase some of the fall’s biggest trends carried by Women’s International Gift & Gallery (WIGG), YWCA’s social enterprise.
Following the event, ticket holders will be invited for an exclusive shopping experience at WIGG across the street from Cambridge City Hall.
“A fitting way to launch Soroptimist Trust to the Cambridge community, we are pleased to be partnering with YWCA Cambridge in a joint fundraiser,” said Yvonne Kaine, Trustee of the newly-formed charitable Soroptimist Trust.
“It’s going to be a great event, combining the ritual of afternoon high tea with a unique and modern approach to current fashion trends. Working with Lynn Spence will ensure an informative and fun afternoon!”
